Communicating as a professional
In Susan Adams article, "Why Grammar Counts at Work", she states that the most important
reasons for using good grammer in the professional workplace is intelligence, etiquette, and
respect. Her argument is that whe someone is speaking with good grammar it maes that person
seem more comprehensive. People who speak with good grammar show better etiquette when
they speak. They have a stronger ethical behavior when in a professional environment. They are
also more respected. They seem to have worth or excellence of themselves.
In Kyle Wiens article, "I Won't Hire People Who Use Poor Grammar. Here's Why.", he feels that
is is very important to use good grammar. He thinks people who use good grammar have a
better work ethic. They will make less mistakes not only in writing, but in anything. He also feels
that people who use good grammar have better attention to detail. This is why he would hire
someone that uses good grammar and feels that it is important as he does.
Why does good grammar count at work? Well, when you go to a workplave you never would
want to sound ignorant or like you have no understanding of what you are speaking about. This
